Citizens Advice Kensington and Chelsea provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone who lives or works in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on their rights and responsibilities. We are grateful to you, our referral partner, for helping us to find those clients most in need of our advice and support to help them find a way forward.
If you have any issues making a referrals please contact management@citizensadvicekc.org.uk
Please take a moment to understand the typical client journey once they are referred into our service (though your referral arrangement may different according to the service level agreement).
-
The first step in making a referral is to find out about your client’s advice issue and collect the information needed for the referral.
-
Next, complete our online referral form. The more information you provide, the quicker we can respond to the client.
-
We will schedule a call with the client to triage their issue, explore what support they need, and provide advice where possible. We will explore all client issues, not just the referred issue.
-
If the client’s issue cannot be resolved during the call, we will book a face-to-face appointment for the client to help resolve their issue.
Is a referral the right option for my client?
Citizens Advice Kensington and Chelsea are committed to advising the most vulnerable members of our community on complex advice issues - where our expertise can make the most impact. Most clients who use our service are signposted to advice and support or are referred to specialist agencies to help them to find a way forward.
We welcome any and all referrals from our referral partners but if your client is capable of understanding written information, has access to the internet and is able to act on information provided to them then waiting for their referral to be picked up may not be the most appropriate action to take for your client. They may get the help they need quicker by using one of our online self-help resources, including our Chatbot which can be found in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. However, if you are not sure then please do continue to submit a referral.
Something not gone right with your referral?
We want to know if something’s gone wrong with a referral as soon as possible so we can rectify it and get in touch with the client as soon as possible, or perhaps you simply want to know if we’ve been able to take action. Please complete this short form and we’ll investigate the referral right away.
