Making a donation

Citizens Advice Kensington and Chelsea is an advice agency and charity that provides free advice to people who live and work in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. We provide our clients with the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem - but we can’t do it without your help!

There are a number of ways you can support our work. On this page you can discover the ways in which you can make a difference to our work and ensure that we can continue to support the community in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Volunteering

Citizens Advice Kensington and Chelsea is a volunteer-led organisation. This means that we put voluntary staff at the heart of everything we do. Our voluntary staff see and support the majority of our clients and we could not achieve our mission without them. That’s why we make the commitment to give our voluntary staff a first-class volunteering experience: including providing them with support through our rigorous and nationally recognised training programme, and ensuring their commitment is rewarded through exciting social events and community activities.

If you are able to donate some of your time to volunteer, please take a look at our opportunities by clicking the link here.

Fundraising

If you can’t donate your time to us as a volunteer but want to put some time and energy into supporting our cause, then you can fundraise for us and then donate the money you have raised.

Some ideas may include:

  • Undertaking a sponsored walk or run.

  • Setting up a cake sale.

  • Hosting a fundraising event, such as a quiz night or a raffle.

If you would like to fundraise, please contact us first at management@citizensadvicekc.org.uk so that we know you are raising money in support of our organisation.

Making a one-off or regular donation

As a charity we rely, partially, on donations from members of the public to help us sustain and grow our advice services. We understand that in a cost-of-living crisis there is less money than ever available to donate to charitable causes such as our own, so if you want to donate but can’t afford to give us money, then please consider volunteering or fundraising for us instead.

We are also a free service and we always will be. Our clients are not expected to pay us for any information, advice or guidance we provide. However, occasionally, some clients do ask us how they can make a donation when they feel that our service has exceeded expectations.

If you do wish to support us by making a one-off or regular monthly donation then you can do so by clicking on the button “Make a Donation”.
